In Traditional Chinese Medicine there are five elements, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water and each of them is associated with a season of the year, which then in turn correlates to certain organs of the bod, colour, taste and emotions.
Join Sarah as we approach the changing of the seasons and welcome in the Element of Wood.
Wood is the element of Spring, representing growing and reaching outwards. Like seeds that have laid dormant in the earth during winter, now is the time for us to sprout and reach upwards.
Wood is our intelligence; problem solving, planning, strategising and analysing. When in balance, we are open-minded, constructive, co-operative and kind.
Governed by the liver and gallbladder, the General and the Lieutenant of our body, our wood element is essential to overall wellbeing.
In this workshop Sarah will guide you through how to stimulate, open and encourage a flow of energy into the Liver and Gallbladder meridians.
The Yin postures associated with the wood elements will be broken down into their foundational elements and approached in a manner suitable for each unique body.
This two hour workshop is deep exploration into these elements, a way for you to connect authentically with this season and what it means for you.
Expect to leave the workshop feeling completely nourished, and energetically balanced.
